The Writers' League of Texas provides education, support, and community for writers in Texas and beyond through a variety of year-round programs.

Our classes, (including half & full day Saturday classes, weeknight intensives, and two-day advanced craft workshops) help writers polish their craft and learn more about the publishing industry. Topics include story structure, building character, genre and market styles, self-promotion, finding an agent, and many others.

Writers can also broaden their knowledge and sharpen their skills through our annual Summer Writing Retreat, annual Agents & Editors Conference, and our free, open-to-the-public monthly panel discussions. Entry in our contests provides writers with professional feedback and the chance to meet with a literary agent who represents their writing market.

All of our programs help writers meet fellow like-minded individuals for encouragement and advice. Participants can network with people at every professional stage, and many writing and critique groups have been formed as a result of our events.
