Resource Center and Library

The Writers' League of Texas Resource Center/ Library contains over 1,500 books. During the past 20 years, the League has collected copies of our members' books - covering non-fiction works, fiction ranging from genre to mainstream, and poetry.

In addition, the library has an excellent collection of reference books about writing and publishing to assist you in improving your craft, publishing your work, marketing your book, determining the answer to legal questions (i.e., copyrights, privacy releases, nondisclosure agreements, etc.), finding examples of various contracts (e.g., contracts with publishers, book designers, printers, sales representatives, book distributors, and more. Other popular refrerence books include the latest editions of Literary Marketplace, Writers's Market. Guide to Literary Agents, Poet's Market, Childrens's Writer's and Illustrators's Market, and Novel and Short Story Market.

Members have lending library privileges and may check out books for two weeks at a time. The Resource Center/Library is also open to non-members for use during regular office hours. Drop by and check out some of the finest contemporary Texas writing.

The Resource Center/Library also has the latest copies of periodicals such as Publisher's Weekly, The Writer, Poets & Writers, and Writer's Digest. Current copies may be read during office hours; members may also check out back issues of these popular magazines.
