Center and LibraryThe Writers' League of Texas Resource Center/ Library
contains over 1,500 books. During the past 20 years, the League has collected
copies of our members' books - covering non-fiction works, fiction ranging from
genre to mainstream, and poetry. In addition, the library has an excellent
collection of reference books about writing and publishing to assist you in improving
your craft, publishing your work, marketing your book, determining the answer
to legal questions (i.e., copyrights, privacy releases, nondisclosure agreements,
etc.), finding examples of various contracts (e.g., contracts with publishers,
book designers, printers, sales representatives, book distributors, and more.
Other popular refrerence books include the latest editions of Literary Marketplace,
Writers's Market. Guide to Literary Agents, Poet's Market, Childrens's Writer's
and Illustrators's Market, and Novel and Short Story Market. Members
have lending library privileges and may check out books for two weeks at a time.
The Resource Center/Library is also open to non-members for use during regular
office hours. Drop by and check out some of the
finest contemporary Texas writing. The Resource Center/Library also has
the latest copies of periodicals such as Publisher's Weekly, The Writer, Poets
& Writers, and Writer's Digest. Current copies may be read during
office hours; members may also check out back issues of these popular magazines.
