The internet and online marketing have exploded over the last decade, giving authors extraordinary opportunities to build communities of readers and drive book sales. Yet the vast array of options and platforms for marketing online leave many authors paralyzed and confused. In this class we will:
- Discuss the online marketing landscape and why EVERY author should be marketing online
- Identify the top social media and online marketing platforms and which ones work for you (guess what you don’t have to be on all of them!)
- Learn the key strategies of successful online marketing that work on any social media platform
- Discuss the essentials of blogging and developing a website and how to get started
About the instructor:
Shennandoah Goodson is Director of Marketing and Business Development for Connor Creative Co. In her many years as a PR and Marketing consultant, Shennandoah has worked with numerous authors and publishers to build successful book marketing campaigns and author platforms. A writer herself, Shennandoah is passionate about writing and books and loves empowering authors to take ownership of their book’s success.
