20-minute, one-on-one consultation

Please prepare a 1-2 sentence verbal media "pitch" of your book and be ready to share it with Jennifer who will give you feedback and help you refine your statements in real time. You may also bring 3-4 specific questions about marketing and PR related to your book. Or, if you prefer, you may use the time with Jennifer to develop your "pitch" or tagline of the book. At the end of the consult, you'll receive a comprehensive guide to literary PR and marketing written specifically for conference attendees.


About Jennifer:
I am a communications professional with more than twenty-three years of experience in media relations, creative and literary development, professional writing, marketing, publicity and Web 2.0/digital media strategy. I've worked with internationally best-selling authors, as well as authors who have independently published their works. I've served as the PR Director for the Texas Book Festival. In Los Angeles, I worked as a story analyst for major film companies. Over the years I've landed media coverage for clients in outlets including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Glamour, The Today Show, NPR, The New York Times, Time, The Hollywood Reporter, The Associated Press, among many others. I currently write digital content and serve Fortune 500 clients at Porter Novelli, an international PR corporation. I earned my BFA in Writing, Literature and Publishing and minors in Mass Communications and Philosophy from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
