Learn how to market your books to grow your readership and earn a living as a self-published author.

This class is for authors who have already published a book, whether through traditional publishing or self-publishing. The instructor, a bestselling author who has published both traditionally and with self-publishing, will talk about more advanced topics in self-publishing.
 
Students will learn how to
  • use social media and newsletters to keep their readers with them from book to book
  • create a Facebook marketing ad campaign to find new readers
  • revamp the marketing strategy for a series or book when it isn't selling to gain new momentum.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Lori Ryan is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of romantic suspense and contemporary romance. She entered the self-publishing market in 2013 and has over 20 titles out. She continues to self-publish but also has a series published by Silverhart Publishing. She loves working with other authors on joint projects and enjoys teaching others how to navigate the self-publishing landscape.

Once a purchase has been made, tickets are not refundable and registration cannot be transferred to a different class or event. No exceptions will be made. If you purchase a ticket and then find you cannot attend, someone else can attend in your stead. HOW WRITERS' LEAGUE OF TEXAS CLASSES WORK:

Our classes offer a combination of lecture and practical exercises, determined by the individual instructor, on focused aspects of the craft and business of writing. Your fellow participants will come from a range of writing experience, from beginners to people with MFA degrees and published books. WLT instructors, participants, and administrators all work together to create a welcoming, supportive environment.
