"Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Writing & Publishing but Were Afraid to Ask" with Suzy Spencer

11/12/2011 From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Location: St. Edwards University, Fleck Hall 206, Austin - Note Classroom change!

Sometimes what stops us from writing is fear and confusion. That might be because we don’t know how or where to start. Other times, we start, then stutter and stop because we don’t know what to do next. This three-hour workshop will give you the opportunity to share your own writing struggles and ask the burning questions that you’ve always wanted to know about writing and publishing. We’ll delve into topics like self-talk, discipline, determination, how to take criticism (constructive and otherwise), and how to bounce back and keep up one’s confidence no matter the circumstances. Most of all, we’ll talk, improvise, adjust, learn, laugh, and find the solutions that will result in the successful tapping of one’s fingers against the keyboard.

Who Should Attend?

* Writers of both fiction and nonfiction
* New writers and seasoned pros alike
* Anyone who has questions about the world of writing and publishing
