Whether you're getting ready to query agents, revising your novel, or starting a new one, this is the workshop for you! In this special evening intensive class, you will learn the best approaches to writing a synopsis: what should be included, what should be left out, strategies for summing up, and things to avoid. Attendees will read and offer feedbck on one another's synopses (you can opt out if you prefer not to share and the instructor will still offer you feedback on your synopsis) and then receive feedback from the instructor on their pre-workshop synopsis, along with time for clarifying questions, revision, and review (either with peers or the instructor). Participants will leave the class well on their way to having a draft or revision of a synopsis for their writing project.

Prior to the class, each participant will send the following to the instructor:

  • The draft of a synopsis for one writing project (2 pages at most; the goal is to condense it down to a single page).

If you don't have a synopsis, you can still attend the class, but we do urge you to send in what you can in order to have a richer experience.

Sign up soon (current members only!), as registration will be strictly capped at 10.
