Manuscript Contest

Ever want professional feedback on an unpublished manuscript? The Writers’ League of Texas Manuscript Contest provides individual evaluations from published authors, and the finalists in each category are reviewed by agents.

2010 Manuscript Contest

You are invited to submit a one-page synopsis and the first 10 pages of your unpublished work to the League’s 11th annual Manuscript Contest. The winner in each category will meet individually with an agent at the Writers’ League of Texas Agents Conference, June 25-27, 2010.

Prize: The prize for the winner in each category is a one-on-one meeting with an agent or editor at the Writers’ League of Texas Agents & Editors Conference, held June 25-27, 2010.

Entry Fee: $50 per submission

Deadline: Contest closed. Watch for announcements about the 2011 contest later this year.

Winners will be announced during the opening ceremony of the Conference and will meet with the agent or editor who judged their work shortly after the ceremony. Winners must be present at the ceremony in order to receive the prize. Finalists need not register for the conference to attend the opening ceremony, but those not registered will not be permitted to attend conference events. For winners who have registered for the conference, this prize is in addition to the 10-minute meeting included in the cost of registration.
